DETERMINED DISCIPLESHIP
I Timothy 6:11-16
What are the qualities of a determined disciple? The Apostle Paul had that kind of determination in mind when he told Timothy to "Fight the good fight of the faith." Discipleship is for persons of courage and character, persons of faith and fearlessness.
Take Responsibility for Your Own Life.
Some, who can't take responsibility for their own lives, are always blaming circumstances or fate or other people.
You have infinite potential within you, all you have to do is take hold of it.
Paul says to Timothy, "Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called" (v. 12).
Understand the Importance of Righteous Living!
The lives of a lot of people today are morally and spiritually adrift with nowhere to go.
Understand that there are right turns and there are wrong turns.
Paul says to Timothy: "I charge you to keep the commandment without spot or blame" (v. 14).
First, there is nothing, nothing more precious than time. Wasted hours destroy your life....
Second, religion. Get familiar with the words of God. You will never regret it.
Third, when you come to crossroads, take the right turns.
Remember That You Are a Representative of Jesus Christ.
Every disciple is a witness - either a valued witness or a detrimental one.
